Water Heater Broken Or Not?

try flipping your breaker all the way to off then to on again. I had a dryer breaker that partially tripped off. sounds weird I know but after buying a new dryer because my old one would tumble but not heat up. Before I removed the old one I realized the breaker was not quite on "ON" and low and be hold the stupid thing started working right. Of course I did not tell my spouse I had a brand new one waiting to go in that spot. I talked him into putting it down stairs for his hunting clothes, lol Wow Honey it's working now, lucky you. lol I got a new dryer out of that mistake, lol. Sure hope this is your problem. If it is electric you might just need the element changed. That's well worth the money of a service call. Cheri'

1. How does a shower heater works?

electric heater is based on principle of Joule's Heating Effect. When electricity is passed through a metal especially resistive metal heat is generated. All heaters are properly Earthed. And all the electricity induced in coil of heater is converted to heat. so there is no risk of shock if heater is in good condition and most IMP PROPERLY EARTHED

2. Is anyone using a tankless hot water heater in their home right now?

a 40 gallon water heater should supply about 30 gallons of hot water before a noticable drop in hot water temperature...you can test it by seeing how many 3 gallon buckets you can fill and dump in the tub before temp drops..if temp drops well before you have filled 3 gallon bucket 10 times, you probably have a bad dip tube. .the dip btube is a plastic tube that carries the cold water to the bottom of the tank.if it detieriorates or if a careless installer damaged it then you get cold water mixing at the top of tank and coming right out, therefore less than 1 showers vworth before temp drops..those "lime" deposits that are clogging your shower head might be pieces of deteriorated dip tube. dip tube can be replaced but old one cant be removed from tank if it has fallen out of position and into tank,,in that case, best just to replace tank, although thats unusual in a newer water heater.......also,gas tankless heaters are expensive and complex, also usually require a much larger gas line ran from meter to heater, they dont always tell you that..typical electric water heater tank is 50 gal,,40 or less is apatment size. ..........dan.

3. Choosing The Best Sauna Heater

The sauna heater is the most important element of your sauna and the type and quality of heater you choose will affect the quality of your experience more than any thing else. So should not you spend some time, know your options, and choose the best sauna heater? Heat in a sauna is meant to open your pores and make you sweat. Yet all heaters do not provide the same heat in the same way. There are 2 main types of sauna heaters - the traditional heater with rocks and newer infrared heaters. Both these are electrical though originally a wood sauna heater was used to provide the heat. Many sauna enthusiasts claim the only real sauna experience comes from the rock style heaters. Infrared sauna heat does serve those looking for a dry, less intense heat. Traditional heaters use electricity, oil, gas, or wood. Where a wood sauna heater was the traditional norm, electric sauna heaters offer a convenient alternative. Heaters are usually have steel enclosures and mount to the wall of the sauna or are set in the floor. In the United States, the maximum temperature allowed by electric heaters is 194 Fahrenheit (90 degrees Celsius) based on UL code. In Canada, the temperature limit is the same and is outlined in CSA rules. Europe allows for higher temperatures. When these heaters are turned on, the heat up a bed of sauna rocks which warms the sauna by convection. Electric heated rock units take about 30 to 45 minutes to heat up. Typically, the temperature range is 140 to 190 F (60 to 88 Celsius). These heaters have a covering or fence to protect sauna bathers. Heaters with a stainless steel enclosure may perform better than painted units, because of the potential for rust. Place the unit as centrally as possible to evenly distribute heat - See How To Build A Sauna for more tips. Wall mounting is preferred in residential units since it allows for more floor space. Residential electric home sauna heaters will only run for 1 hour before turning themselves off. Electric heaters usually operate on 220-volt electric service. Some smaller units may use 110-volt. The higher voltage units will dramatically shorten heating times. Newer models of heaters use insulating technology that lessens your wait time. When not in use, these heaters will maintain heat using about the same amount of energy as a few lightbulbs. They may cost more, but the convenience is worth it. Traditional rock heaters allow you to customize your sauna experience. You can maintain a very hot, dry environment or add varying amounts of water to generate steam and reduce the intensity of the heat. See Sauna vs. Steam Room for details. Developed in the 1970s, infra-red heaters offer an alternative to traditional rock heaters. Technically, an infrared heater is not a true sauna heater. It does not use convection to warm, rather it warms surfaces that it is pointing at. It does not heat the air and cannot offer the respiratory benefits of traditional sauna heat. Infrared sauna heaters produce a lower temperature, dry heat. They use a zirconium tube energy source that usually increases temperature to 110 to 150 F (43 to 66 Celsius). These infrared home sauna heaters do not produce steam, leaving a major disadvantage compared to a traditional sauna experience. See how to choose the best sauna. Residential heaters in both the United States and Canada, are required to have a 1-hour maximum timer along with a thermostat for temperature control. Commercial saunas can run longer than the 1 hour residential limit, but require an attendant on the premises to check bathers. Sauna controls are sometimes found directly mounted on the residential electric heaters. It's a convenience and cost saving measure but it may lead to other issues because of exposure to heat and moisture. Controls are better suited to being mounted outside the sauna to the side of the door. They should operate more effectively and will be easier to read too. Sauna heater fences or guards are a personal safety requirement for all sauna heaters. When buying a replacement heater, make sure it fits within your existing heater guard. See Sauna Parts for fences and other replacements. A quick rule of thumb for determining the right size electric heater (in an 84 high sauna) is to divide the cubic feet of your sauna (for example, 5 x 7 x 7 = 24 cubic feet) by 50 to get the appropriate size of a 220 volt heater in kilowatts (Kw). In our example, 245 divided by 50 is about 5 Kw. In other words, you need about 1 Kw for each 50 cubic feet of space to heat. Small electric sauna heaters (110 volt) are designed for 1 or 2 person saunas. Saunas larger than that require 220 volt heaters. Electric sauna heaters range in size from 2 Kilowatts to 18 Kilowatts. Wood burning sauna stoves are natural and traditional sauna heaters. They are a lot more work to tend and maintain and they require up to 1 1/2 hours to heat up - compared to 30 minutes for an electric heater. You can also choose a gas sauna heater, though they are expensive to install. Gas heaters require gas lines for natural gas or propane along with propane tanks to be installed outside the sauna. You will also need to vent the exhaust through a chimney. Gas sauna heaters are sized in BTUs with 1,000 BTUs needed for every 15 cubic feet of sauna room space. Tylo Sauna Heaters - Tyl sauna heaters are world renowned for high quality and distinctive features.

Using higher octane fuel will actually do no good for the car and generally make it run more poorly in the winter and while the engine is warming up. Using high octane fuel in a low compression engine can lead to coking problems. Higher octane fuel is harder to ignite (that's what makes it higher octane!) and so will run poorly when the engine is cold. As to brand of fuel, any quality supplier is just fine. Shell, BP, HEB are all good brands. Mostly you want to be sure you buy gas at stations that do good volume. Stations that move a lot of fuel are less likely to have issues with water in the fuel. If this has not been done in a few years that might be the problemDriver Window Honda Accord LX 97?Sounds like the master switch maybe faulty and I would suggest that you start with checking the owners manual and fuse box covers for any fuses or relays in the electric window circuits.According to autozone.com that vehicle has no relays in the electric window circuits but again check and see. One test probe I like to suggest that you use is a positive and negative 12 volt auto test probe. This would help a lot since it reads both positive and negative voltage. For example it has a red positive alligator clip wire that you clamp onto the the positive battery post or another constant 12 volt positive feed. Then you clamp the black lead wire to a clean/solid metal ground surface or a the battery's negative post. How if you popped out the master window control switch you could then slightly puncture any of the wires for example you select the wire on one side of the drivers side switch. Now you might see a green led light on the test probe light up or a red light or no light.Try moving the switch now in the upper position and lower positions you should be seeing those lights come on.So if you say saw the green light on with the switch off and then when you turned switch on for up window function the green light went off but the red light is now on.This would suggest that the switch in that position is working. Once you've tested all 4 switches in the up window and lower window positions then you also could note the colours of the wires you tested for the drivers side window switch.Take the door panel off and test those wires at the motor for the window and at the regulator.See if the led tester responds the same at the motor end etc of the same coloured wires as on the switch. Now you could take a look at the passengers side. See if those readings are the same at the master switch for the passengers front window wires as the motor wires. This should be enough to know whats going on and what part/parts need replacing.
My Boyfriend Has a New Water Pump, Coolant Tank and Heater Core and He Is still Leaking Coolant Ever
Leaking head gasket, cracked head, cracked or leaking hose (check around clamps)1. Would a bad heater core make an engine sound likes it's revving? (2003 Pontiac Sunfire)? If your heater core is leaking you could be running low on coolant and if your in park you may be hearing your cooling fan cycle, since your running your defroster harder and longer due to lack of warm coolant flow in heater core you may also be building high pressure in your air conditioner because your car uses your AC pump when in the defrost mode all off these things would cause your radiator fan to cycle every few minutes. Just a thought2. How to tell if heater core is bad, or just leaking?"Just leaking" is bad. And you are risking the engine because the cooling system wo not build pressure as long as it leaks. You need to bypass it right now and replace it when you can. Head gasket sealer is snake oil that does not work and risks trashing the engine.3. can i change out a heater core without taking it to a repair shop?In order to get to the heater core... you have to take out the majority of the dash and it is very time consuming... but it is possible4. What all does bypassing the heater core in my car affect? If we knew what style of automobile you have there may well be extra help. some autos used short rubber hoses between the traces and the middle and that they are infamous for leaking and might get replaced for plenty decrease than a center. the different option is to in basic terms pass it. If the leak is not too great a small can of black pepper will paintings better than any of the aftermarket supply up leak stuff5. is it safe to drive with my heater core leaking water?Do not know what car you have but a lot of them, if you move your temperature control for heat/AC to the coldest setting, it shuts the flow of coolant to the heater core, causing the leak to quit at least while it's in that position. Make sure you radiator is full, check it when engine is cold, before you start the drive and you should be okay. Keep an eye on your temperature gauge for signs of overheating.6. 1994 buick roadmaster how to replace heater core? One of the components driven by the belt that is coming off is not in proper alignment. You need to have the vehicle checked to make sure that all of the components are running straight and that you don,t have any misaligned accessories. The most common things to look for are bad belt auto tensioners and idler pulleys that can become worn and cause the belt to run at a slight angle and come off or even a bad water pump but you would probably have some noise associated with that. Just take it to a good shop or dealership and explain your problem and they should be able to quickly locate the cause of your problem. Good luck7. I want to replace my heater core in my 99 dodge ram.?The whole dash has to come out it takes book time 4 hours 1 hour to evacuate and recharge the ac system. One of our techs just did one on monday. Auto Tec 13-years8. heater core/wet floor "quick fix"?Are you smelling coolant? Be sure the core is leaking before you spend a boatload of money fixing it. A plugged AC drain tube will also wet the passenger side floor (simply a matter of locating the tube under the car and cleaning it out). If you are indeed getting coolant (antifreeze) in the car then the only real fix is replacing the core. A temporary fix is to pull both heater hoses off the attachment pipes and place a metal tube connecting them together, clamping them tight. This will completely bypass the heater core and buy you some time to save up for a core replacement. It may get VERY cold inside your car next month.9. Does my heater core have 3 hoses? That's a strange one - a heater core, that according to the picture, has three hoses. I guess the only thing you can do now is visually check the firewall area of your Saturn and see if it does indeed have three hoses. Note: For what it's worth, often times these web sites will use a generic picture for different components.

If you just have to have these hoses looped, follow them to where they connect to the motor and just run the right size hose to both connections.5. My 1994 ford ranger is leaking hot water and coolant from passenger side.?Heater core is leaking, very easy to replace yourself. Get a new one at a part store. Then drain your coolant, lower the glove box remove the hex head screws use a 8 mm or 5/16 socket, might be 10 of them, remove the heater hoses under the hood, pull the core out and reverse procedures6. how to change a heater core on a 1995 buick regal?if your cooling equipment is low on water (it relatively is in all probability what is incorrect right here) the water pump can not flow the coolant, which incorporate into the heater middle. additionally, there is no coolant working against the temp probe fooling into thinking the temp is low. Flush and fill till now you warp a head7. my car heat won't work. how do you replace the heater core in a 1996 honda accord?i cant quite explain all of it. go to your local auto parts store and pick up a haynes repair manual for your car make and model. it will give you extremely accurate and clear directions to doing it yourself8. What is the typical cost to replace the heater core on a 2000 GMC Jimmy?well the heater core usually does not cost the most in the repair as it is usually only about $30-$50. what costs the most is the labor to do it. you have to take out the whole dash just to get to it and i mean the whole dash. if you are good with stuff like that than you can do it your self and save alot of money. i would guess that a shop would charge you about $500 at least to put one in9. hi 98 dodge ram does not get up to normal operating tempand will not get hot back flushed the heater core ?Well, if the hoses are getting hot, then you can eliminate the water pump and theromostat. You may have to invest in a new heater core. Or you may want to check your heater cables for proper operation, and adjust if necessary. Also check all of your vaccumm lines. .. Espically those having to do with the heater and controls. Usually there is a temperature valve somtimes located in the heater hose, which controls the air being blown into the heater itself. But if the hoses are getting hot, I would not think this valve is acting up either. Still, none the less, it would not hurt to give the entire heating system a complete once over. It is possible that the temperature door in the heater is not moving properly, either. This would cause a no heat condition also. You can have hot hoses, but if the temperature door is closed or only partly open, well then you would have a little or no heat condition. Cause the hot air cannot get by the closed temperature door. While if it were open, then the heat would pass right through and into the heater to be blown into your interior.
Fuel Solution Has Inuvik Residents Struggling to Pay Bills
Andre Ouletteowns seven townhouses in Inuvik, but he says the high cost of living is driving tenants out."Two tenants left last September, it's too expensive to live here. It's really hard for the people," he says.Oulette says he's almost ready to sell up and leave town too, even if he has to sell his property at a loss."I'm completely screwed up with my budget. I can't fix my buildings any more."Oulette says he's now paying about $72,000 a year to heat his townhouses -more than $10,000 per unit per year."The landlord business here was affordable before, I survived. But now it costs me money every month, because the gas prices are really extreme," he says. The increase, up about $30,000 from the previous year, is thanks to an 83 per cent increase in the cost of heating fuel in 2013.That's when Inuvik was forced to make an unexpectedswitch from local natural gas to synthetic natural gas.Residents are now paying $35.34/gigajoule of energy.Inuvik a 'unique situation'The general manager of Inuvik Gas says the town is in a "unique situation."Since about 1999, Inuvik has relied on two nearby natural gas wells to heat homes and business, and to power cooking appliances, hot water heaters and dryers. In recent years, one of those well became contaminated with water, and gas reserves in the remaining well are dwindling. That prompted the town to come up with an emergency back-up plan.In late 2012, they decided to begin trucking in synthetic natural gas, or SNG."We take liquid propane, vaporize it, mix it with air, and use it for heating," MacKay says.Originally a back-up plan, the SNG solution is now the primary heating source. MacKay says the solution works because it doesn't require any change to the heating infrastructure to homes in the community. And if for some reason, the supply of trucked SNG from Alberta or B.C. is interrupted, Inuvik can easily revert temporarily to the limited supply of local natural gas.But people in Inuvik are having a hard time swallowing the price."I know it's disappointing for everybody that we have to pay the rate," MacKay says."The big cost is the energy and the cost of getting it here. If we didn't have to truck it in, it'd be a lot different."Synthetic natural gas is supposed to be a temporary solution to the town's energy problem, but it's not clear what will come next."The idea was to bridge us to a longer term solution, and the long term solution just hasn't materialized yet," MacKay says."We think we'll be able to get through this heating season and the next. Then we're working on a plan B."New fees, same old gas? While Inuvik Gas is pleased the system allows them to switch back and forth between synthetic and natural gas, many customers dislike the idea of paying the new, higher rate, even when the system is running on the same old product.MacKay says they factored that into a unified price, approved by the Public Utilities Board, which reflects the fact that the fuel source will change.Inuvik Gas estimated they would 75 per cent SNG and 25 per cent natural gas in an average year. So far, he says, they've actually relied on about 85 per cent SNG. Synthetic gas damaging appliances?People in Inuvik have also complained that the synthetic natural gas is damaging appliances."More wear and tear on your boiler, more wear and tear on your burner and (they) don't do nothing about that," says Oulette.MacKay disputes this. He says Inuvik Gas went to all gas-fired appliances in the town last year and found no indication that the synthetic gas was doing any damage. He says the issues were related to maintenance and age."You have to imagine that the appliances in town, in Inuvik, in the North, work pretty hard throughout the year," he says. "We couldn't find any evidence of SNG affecting appliances."

Heat doesn't work and temp rises at stand still in 97 civic dx...thermostat, pump or heater core?Is known to be a quick fix when your heater core leaks, to by-pass it. Meaning the heater core is isolated or separated from the cooling system by joining both hoses (inlet & outlet) not allowing coolant to flow through the heater core. When this is done, the heater is no longer there. Now, there's a chance that your heater is ok but your blower switch is not working. As far as the engine overheating at idle then cools off while driving sounds to me like the cooling fan is not turning on when it needs to. All this assuming you have enough coolant in the system, if level is low then it will act the same way. Hope this helps. Good luck! Does a Red Ear Sliders Aquarium Need a Heater?
In the south no. We keep them in shallow outdoor ponds that are only a couple of feet deep all year around no problem. They can take the cold and usually just nap through the winter months1. Will 3 baby sliders (farm-grown) get along with a baby snapper that a student of mine found?i am assuming they are red eared sliders... one alone will need at least a 120 gal tank when full grown. and 4 turtles in a 20 gal tank is way over crowded. snapper will probably eat the guppies. so will the sliders.. even 3 res in a 20 gal tank ( no matter what size) is way to overcrowded. 1 in a 20 gal tank may be too much if it is over 2 inches long... and i dont think you want that big of tank in a classroom. .. ).3. What would be the best tank setup for 2 Cumberland Sliders?a 10 gallon tank is in simple terms too small for any red Eared Slider. A 20 Gallon Tank is a minimum length. Why does Lightroom 4 not have chromatic aberration sliders?Lightroom 4 does have sliders for fixing some types of CA, but the sliders for fixing red and blue fringing (which I assume is the type of CA you are having problems with) have been removed. The 'Remove Chromatic Aberration' checkbox (under Lens Corrections > Color in the Develop module) is now meant to automatically remove this type of CA and is supposed to work without a lens profile available. The Lightroom 4 Missing FAQ says that you can try using the Moire removal setting on the Adjustment Brush to remove residual CA that the other tools can not remove.5. The Most Suitable Ways to Reduce Costs and Energy in Your House
Because of the state of the economy, everyone is interested in being economical; because of the state in the environment, most responsible people might like to do their part.Possibly the best ways to save money in your house is always to lessen your energy consumption, which can ultimately mean a decrease in fossil fuel consumption and greenhouse emissions-thus killing two birds with one stone. There are some practical and simple tips on how to reduce your electric and gas consumption, which is best for the environment as well as for our pocketbooks. Turn Down the Thermostat It really is difficult to believe, but by lowering your thermostat by 1°C can reduce your heating costs by as much as 10%, which means a savings of about £50 per annum. Any particular one degree is insignificant: to put it simply by using an extra blanket during the night in the wintertime. If your home heating system contains a programmer, set it to merely come on when you manually switch it on, instead of having it run all the time. Reduce Your Water Temperature Most of us have their hot water heaters set too high, which results in higher heating bills. Set the water heater cylinder to 60°C/140°F. This really is hot enough for whatever you need, and definately will bring your costs down and save energy. Window Matters The windows in your home tend to be more than merely tips on how to see out: additionally let in draughts and let heat out. Close the curtains at nightfall, which will keep heat from escaping. Also, verify the seals all around the glass window panes and casings, as well as doors; if you think a draught, remedy it. Flip the Switch Remember your mum telling you to switch off the light whenever you left a room? Well, it wasn't about being a nag, it was about saving valuable energy. Just by turning off the lights whenever you exit, it can save you significantly on electric costs. Say No to Standby Many newer appliances have a "standby" mode, which can be convenient to the user, but that also costs you extra money. Maintaining an appliance on standby uses more electricity than turning it off and on does, so don't use that feature. Additionally, when your notebook computer or mobile phone is made charging, unplug it. Not just is usually that better for the device's battery, it is kinder with the electricity bill. Fill 'Er Up While using the washing machine, dryer, or dishwasher, fill it up, rather than doing multiple partial loads. It's simple math: a complete load uses less energy than doing two half-loads. Mind the Kettle When creating tea or other item needing boiling water, only boil as much as is required. Bringing extra water to boil is really a waste of energy and water. Fix the Sink Were you aware that a dripping domestic hot water faucet will waste enough water to fill up half a bathtub, along with wasting the power used to heat that water? Check your taps and connect any leaks-and turn them off completely when you're done with them! Make use of the Right Lightbulbs Economical lightbulbsare a necessity. Furthermore they last 10 times so long as regular incandescent lightbulbs normally, they also significantly lower your light bill: just as much as £45 over the bulb's lifetime! If you switch one of these new bulbs for a high-wattage incandescent, especially one that's used frequently, you can save about £70!Conduct a thorough inspection of your home's home's energy consumption to trap where changes can be created that can allow it to be more energy-efficient. Through the use of these tips, it can save you a large amount of money and conserve energy as well.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Heater Coil Price
Ford Taurus SHO how do i know my heater core is bad and how do i fix it?Usually two visible ways of checking. If there is anti-freeze leaking onto the floor of the passenger side under the dash and if there is mist coming out of your vents that smells kinda like maple syrup and fogs up the windows------Are these prices real for heating tank? Those prices are included with installation. The average price for a 40-50 gallon water tank is around $350 to $2500, depending if you want tank or a tank-less. Is this Gas or electric? Either can reflect on the price. Then there is the installation, depending on who you know, or what company comes in to do it, the cheapest I've done one is for $150 plus the tank. 80 gallons, your looking for a lot more $ to spend on labor because it IS a two man job! Good Luck!------Ok, how can I get my husband to listen?Call the local hardware store and find out the price of the water heater that allows for constant hot water. It is like a coil that the water runs threw to heats constantly. They are pricey but only heat when the hot water is needed.Tell him that he takes too long and you do have hygiene needs too.If you can't shower first every morning, then you are going to buy this for Fathers Day----EARLY.Good luck------i have a ford expedition and it and the motor misses when it rains and i have put all new coil packs on it ,?Go to a quarter (dollar) car wash and power wash your entire engine compartment, especially the battery cables. You may have a flaky electrical connection that washing will help. Also, with the engine running at the wash, if you have any bad plug wires, you will see them spark. Get a new set of wires. The original wires were very good and unless rough-housed with, should last for the lifetime of the car. If they HAE gone bad, get another set of Motorcraft wires. They are heavy duty and were made to handle the high voltage need of your car. Also, clean out your idle air control valve!!!------Are lincoln ls worth it?no way in hell- dont dare to go near itstay away from this car, nothing but problemsits a jaguar s-type with lincoln on itthis car is just like a bmw, same problems, same cost to fixtry a mark 8 instead.------installation cost of heater coil on cadillac eldorado?this may be a shock to you but the last one of those i did i charged around 600 bucks and the guy that owned the car was tickled to get it done for that price, their pretty hard to do,good luck------Home Inspection Report - Seller only offered $300 worth of repairs? What does your contract say about the inspection? Some say the owner is liable for repairs up to $X, others say you can have an inspection but the owner doesn't have to pay for repair. Again, what does your contract say?realtor.sailor------How can I heat my 5x8x3 ft pool. It sits on cement in shade. Solar/Gas heaters for pools are too expensive.?You could purchase a solar blanket. What a solar blanket does is it captures the heat coming at it from the sun or air and traps it inside and since it is on top of your pool it heats it up. I'm not exactly sure if that's how they work (he he), I'm just guessing but I know they DO work and they are not too expensive and you can buy them/cut them to fit your pool. The only problem I could think of why it's so cold is the balcony above it is blocking all the sun? Hope I helped!Good luck!------What are all of the supplies you need for a MikSnake?First of all milk snakes are 40$-100$. The equipment your going to need is is a florescent light bulb to put over the terrarium you will find the holder for this and the light bulb at any pet store. This will probably cost you 40$. You need to get a thermometer that measures humidity and temperature for inside the cage. The temperature is going to have to be 78 degrees to 82 degrees Fahrenheit in the day and 65 to 70 degrees at night. You will attain this tempature by using a heating pad you can by at any pet store for 20$. You stick it onto the bottom of one side of the tank so there is a hot side and a cool side. You also need 2 hide spots on either side of the tank and a water bowl. You can use like half a shoe box to make the hide box. You can buy the water bowl at any pet store for really cheap. The best substrate would be shredded aspen and this you can get at any pet store for like 15$ for a pretty big bag. For food i recommend pre-killed frozen mice. You can buy them at any pet store for like 12$ for 50. You thaw them out by putting them in a thing of warm water do not microwave. To feed grab by tail with tongs and hold over the snake. This should help you out in you adventure of owning a snake------Does changing the temperature on your car a/c effect gas mileage?I dunno if it affects the gas millage much, but it does affect me when it isn't turned up enough and there is sweat dripping from my forehead or i get to work and my shirt is wet. So I honestly don't think it would be worth not running the ac even when prices are high------Should I get rid of old car?Far better to fix what you know than to buy someone else's junk. They probably sold because they had problems like yours. Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.------How do I flush my own radiator?Go to Auto Zone or other automotive parts store. You can do it with just the Radiator flush bottle or you can buy the radiator flush kit. The flush kits are all the same more or less just a matter of price. All you need to put one one is a knife and a phillips screw driver, and a flat tip screw driver. But check the heater hose that you will attach it too. If it has cracks, has a bubble in it, or is hard where it attaches to the heater or engine I would get another one. If you do, you find out what size you need. Now it is cheaper to buy the hose in one , I think 6 foot, coiled inside a rubber bag, then seperatly. Ask the guys at the parts store and they can help you. The kit has the directions on how to flush your radiator. I prefer this as you have a hose pressure flushing everything out.But the regular way, is to go and buy a bottle of radiator flush. Follow instructions. Basically, drain all the water out. Put the flush in fill with water, run the engine, then drain, fill with water. What the kit does is drain any flush you may have in the engine. You see when you drain from the radiator you do not drain the water in the engine block. Also with the kit attached to the hose. Then when you decide to change antifreeze again, you can flush the engine out with regular water, and do a thorough job. This way you will not have the reside dirty water with water deposits antifreeze in the engine.I have a 98 Chrysler van which I plan to keep FOREVER. So the second year, I bought the flush kit and attached it. Now every year, I use the regular radiator flush. I want to maximize keeping the radiator core free of water deposits. Then about every three or four years I use the heavy duty flush. Those water lime deposits is usually what makes a radiator go bad first.------How much do you think a Heater coil job would cost in a 1994 GMC Jimmy? The cost of a heater core is about $300, the reason is that they have to go under the dash. It is not that bad if you want to do it your self. You can drive it with a leak, you just need to bypass the heater core. Disconnect the supply and return from the core and connect the supply to the return going the engine. The hoses are on the passenger side in the engine area. Get a fitting and two new hose clamps and connect the hoses. The only problem is that you will not have any heat in the winter------Is 3000$ a good price for a 2001 lincoln LS?it has 130,000 miles on it?Only if the factory ignition coils have been replaced.......... There are 3 mian problem areas in an LS1. Ignition coils......the factory ones crap out with <50,000 miles2. The heater control valve......if the A/C is hot on one side and cold on the other, the valve is wasted. ($160 and 8 hours labor).3. The window regulator tabs that hold the glass. They break off, then the window goes off track, The drive cable "bird's nests" and wraps around itself. Takes two hours and $166 regulator assembly to fix.------Were can i get a heater coil flushed? If you are trying to avoid dealers because of the high labor prices, any full-service mechanic's shop would be able to do it.You may get better pricing on it if you have a local radiator/cooling system shop though.------Heat not working in 2003 jeep liberty?Your thermostat might be wide open, but even though, it should still get warm (eventually). You might have a air bubble in your coolant line.Does the car overheat?(while idling for about 30min) If so, i'd bet on a air bubble in the coolant line. However, if it doesnt overheat on you, your heater coil might be fried as they suggested. But still, $700 seems quite a bit.I'd recommend looking online for the part, then if you have no mechanical skills, take them the part. Why? They are charging you MSRP(Full Retail Price) for the part, which you could get for A LOT cheaper online.------can you sell a house without water heater? You can sell a house with anything broken as long as it is disclosed.A couple of things to mention here. #1 Unless this house is for sale for a dirt cheap price, no bank or finance company is going to finance it without working hot water. #2 The broker is working for commission. Any broker worth his salt is going to have a water heater installed and pay for it out of his own pocket if it is the only thing holding up a sale.------heat in my home only works when it wants to plz help im cold? The workings of a furnace include a flammable gas know as methane. You want someone to tell you how to bypass the furnace safety switches and possibly blow yourself up?Are you a nut? keep warm by sharing body heat. the dog works or an ex which ever is closer.------Fix 2003 Ford Taurus Heating Coil Plugged Up?Take both hoses off of the engine, blow air in one of the hoses to get some of the coolant out. Dump in CLR ( calcium, lime, rust ) remover and leave in there a couple hours. Use a garden hose and alternate flushing the heater core back and forth. >> the heater core hoses come out of the firewall side-by-side, one connects right to the water pump <<------How much does a 75 gallon water heater weigh? A electrical rangetop stove? A refrigerator? HELP!!!?I can only give you a guesstimate of their weight. They are all different in sizes and will weigh different.Refrigerator- 160 lbsStove- 95 lbswater heater- 80 lbsIf I'm correct that would be 2870 lbs and $172.20. I don't know about your living room set with that little of money. If I was him I'd take the copper coils off the back of the fridges and cut them down into smaller pieces and sell them for copper price.
Mega Store Indirect Water Heater, Can I Use Something Cheaper Than My Boiler to Run It?
Indirect Water Heater Reviews1. Boiler settings 25degrees to 80?Heating the water to a higher temperature and keeping it there requires more gas because heat keeps escaping into the surroundings. If your water is 15C and you set the thermostat to 25C, the heating element turns on the same way it will turn on if you set the thermostat to 80C. When the water reaches the set temperature, the heating element turns off. If you set it for 80C, it will take longer to reach that temperature so more gas will be used than if you set it for 25C. If you had two units and at the same time you turned on to 25C and the other to 80C, they would both start heating the water. They would both reach 25C at the same time. At that point, one of them would turn off the heater and the other would keep heating, but until this moment they have both used the same amount of gas. Setting the thermostat higher does not burn more gas while it is heating, but it runs for longer because it is going to a higher temperature. The hotter water will lose more heat into the surroundings and requires more gas to be kept at 80C than the amount of gas to keep water at 25C. In addition to using more gas to keep the water at high temperatures, higher temperatures increase the chance of burning someone accidentally. If you have young children in the house, setting it at 50C will keep them safe. It takes at least a minute at that temperature to cause serious burns. At 65C, just a few seconds of exposure can cause serious burns.2. Home boiler system, one room is always hot, why?Do you have zone heating? If so you probably have a faulty zone valve stuck open or possibly manually open. Hot water rises in a system and will heat that zone even if the circulator is off because the zone is being heated by gravity. Is the base board or radiator hot or even warm when the system is off? Even with the thermostat off the furnace will maintain hot water in the system bacause of the aquastat control which is independant form other controls. Is this the closest room to the furnace? Is the thermostat centrally located. If it is too far away and this is the first room to heat up the thermostat wo not turn off until the heat in the room that it's located in tells it3. What is Scooptube in Boiler Feed Pump (BFP)?The Scoop tube which you are referring to is a part of Hydraulic coupling ( & not BFP) which is coupled to the Boiler feed Pump for varying the RPM.The hydraulic coupling in a power plant is coupled to a Motor (which is the driver) at one of its end & to the Boiler Feed Pump (BFP) at its other end which is being driven. The function of hydraulic coupling is to vary the speed of the driven machine. The adjustable scoop tube sleeplessly varies the coupling filling during operation. The coupling filling determines the power transmitted and consequently the speed of the driven machine (BFP here). Basically it regulates the flow of oil to vary the speed between driver & driven machines. For more information, refer Catalog of Voith's Coupling.Hope this helps...!!!What is Scooptube in Boiler Feed Pump (BFP)?4. Does my combi boiler need to be turned off to top it up with water?Best done when switched off. Charge it up to 1 bar. If there is no pressure in it then it should lock out with the low water pressure switch, might be a good idea to get it checked out.5. Have hot water, but no heat with thankless oil boiler.?give the circulater a good hard tap with the handle of a hammer, this usually works . the circulater has been laying idle for a while and might just need some gentile persuasion to free it up.6. Is boiler connected up rightThis is an easy fix that you can do yourself. Switch the connections; I 100% assure you that will fix your issues with not having hot water. The way a water heater works is by letting the cold water (blue inlet) into the tank through a tube in the tank called a dip tube. By doing this the water is heated from the bottom near the burner and the existing hot water it is then taken from the tank through the (red outlet) at the top of the tank.Hooking it up backwards will give almost no hot water. Turn it off, let it cool, turn off the water, drain the tank, and switch the pipes. Then turn it all back on, and for that matter do not hire that plumber again
